align(ed). [for michael]

i
you
we
create
nothing
everything
magic from dust
fingerprints tattooed
on arched spine
our identity, permanent
like love spilled
on sheets
bed
spreads
beds spread
like parted petals
(soft/strong)
orchids-
your mouth
an open flower
bends
molds-to my curves
sweet sun seducing skin
your tongue
wet
moisture
buds blossom
making winter turn spring
i sing
a song
sway to its beat
a treat-your heart's melody
painting itself
on my bosom
i give
you give
gifts of pleasurable pain
warm touch
dash of rain
trembling
when you open me
as if earth
suffers from seizures
limbs shaking
reaching
grabbing
handfulls of air
hands full of hair
we - rooted deep
past flesh
passed flesh, on our way to soul
you hold
your breath
is beautiful
it rests within
my screams
a symphony
of mystical music
so divine
i dont even know
why
i tried
writing
you
i
we
create
magic in moments
minutes become eternities
with just one
touch.

m-e spells me.

arms not quite long enough to wrap themselves around my entire self. but i still hold me...til cold sheds its skin and sun sends reminders once again-she never really goes anywhere, just rests for a while so she may rise taller in the morning.

the light is a tool
it finds me
playing hide and seek with myself in the dark
self esteem
piecing itself back together
incomplete puzzle, still the picture is seen
no one can shatter spirit
without permission.
i
am allowing myself to feel
the wind
does not apologize
for the chill it brings
the heat offers no "im sorry's"
for sweat beads and mouths
desperate for moisture

love:
divine liquid for thirsty spirits

growth is looking without eyes
knowing mirrors are futile
if not reflecting soul
look...my eyes are brown
my teeth offer a center space
God knew id have so much to say
...an overflow within
the scar on my chin-
car accident,
umi told me
to sit down but i've always had a hard time
following directions
being a slave to mind
my heart is a compass
eyes, blinded sometimes
but soul sees much
i feel
my way to destination
intuition- a map always leading me
to the right road.
20 years later and still stubborn
still beautiful
still imperfect
and just right
arms not quite long enough
to wrap themselves around my entire self
but i still hold me
til cold sheds its skin and sun sends reminders-
she never really goes anywhere,
just rests for a while
so she may rise
warm
and taller in the morning.
